Sutton Coldfield has a purpose-built 1930s Meeting House of simple design surrounded by a quiet garden.
We aim to be a welcoming and inclusive Quaker Meeting that accommodates diverse views, not just theologically. Sometimes our Meetings for Worship can be completely silent; when there is ’spoken ministry’, it usually relates to personal experience and social situations. Sutton Coldfield Meeting has a wide age range of members, with children being an integral part of the Meeting. Our current Children’s Group is of Primary to Lower Secondary school age. Life beyond our Meeting for Worship includes shared lunches, study sessions, walks and other communal and sociable activities.

There is a ramp for emergency and disabled access; there are no internal stairs. Toilet facilities include accommodation for the disabled. The Meeting House is equipped with a sound amplification system, which does not depend on the use of a hearing aid.
The Meeting House is available for hire by community groups & voluntary organisations for use during the week – especially during the day-time – and at weekends. Our current tenants include a Photographic Society, a Circle Dancing Group, a Ukulele Class, the Cat Protection League, a children’s ‘Pokemon’ Club, a Buddhist Group, Yoga Classes, and other small religious groups. Please contact the Lettings Secretary, John Shirley at jshirley_bham@yahoo.co.uk for further information.
